It was released a new milestone in communication’s history: magicJack. Until few years ago, it was necessary to pay a fee every month to have a telephone in your house. It was expenssive until Vonage introduced a new concept in telephony. I was an equipament that uses Internet to provide a phone. It was cheap: only $24,90.

This year was released magicJack. For just $19.95 per year, (first year costs 39,90 because the equipament purchase) you will have a gadget a little bigger than a matchbox that you connect in a USB port in your computer. It software install itself (on Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS) and open a form to set it up. There you choose area code and number of your phone. Almost instantly you can call to Canada, United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico for free . You can use it program on your computer or connect a regular phone on it RJ11 port. 

I have family on US and often I needed to buy credits on Skype to call them. It was not expensive, compared calling from regular phone. But now I can call them and them can call me too as they do to they neighbors for free.

The number is attached to the gadget, no matter where you are on the world, if you have Internet access, you number is available. I bought the equipament on US and I will bring to Brazil and it still will work. Only you need let your computer, where magicJack it is attached, on to receive or make calls.

Now imagine the saving that a company that has suppliers or clients on US or Canada will have?
